In short

This website sets no cookies, measures nothing and loads nothing from third-party servers. The Chronicles app works on your Mac. It has no account and sends no analytics.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as IP address, time, page, referrer, browser and operating system to deliver the site quickly and protect it from attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Cloudflare sets the retention period.

Cookies, analytics, fonts

There are no cookies, no analytics and no advertising services. Fonts and scripts are served by this website itself.

Email contact

If you write to me, I process your message to reply and delete it once it is settled, except for records I must keep, such as invoices.

Purchase and licence

Payment is handled by a payment provider under its own responsibility. I receive name, email address, country and billing data to complete the purchase and meet tax obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). After purchase you receive a purchase key by email.

On activation and during the check about every 30 days, the app sends only the purchase key and a randomly generated device ID to the latentnoise licence server, hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH. No images, prompts or other library content are transmitted.

The app

Chronicles stores your library, thumbnails and search index on your Mac. If you connect AI providers such as Replicate or fal.ai, the app fetches directly from them using your own API key; their privacy policies apply. The same goes for optional tagging with Google Gemini. Local AI via Ollama runs on your computer.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.
